Current Year 2011/12

Courses will be running throughout the 2011-12 academic year starting in September. Details of courses which are planned can be found on this page, the details are subject to change so please check back before attending the first session for a course. There is a £5 enrolment fee per learner to cover the production of an identity badge and to provide access to Microsoft's e-learning materials. The enrolment fee is not charged for taster sessions or for learners who have a Derby College ID badge. Learners may be able to join a course part way through a term subject to the approval of the course tutor.

Enrolment for courses has finished however late enrolments are taking place, please email community@westpark.derby.sch.uk or phone 01332 821964 and leave a message.

Courses
Courses run during term time and usually take new learners at the start of a term.

Taster Sessions
Taster sessions are one off sessions which provide an introduction to a specific course. If required a follow on course may be run which covers the subject in more detail.

These sessions run throughout the year, £36 payable each 6 weeks. Exam Fees are payable should a learner wish to take the qualification.

Computers 1-2-1 Sessoions Are you considering buying a computer or have bought one and not sure how to use it. Day time sessions are available to discuss what you want to know at times suitable for you.
Microsoft Office Specialist Qualifications The school is a test centre for Microsoft Office Specialist Qualifications.
This qualification can be obtained by self study.
